John "Roc" Upchurch is an Atlanta-based comic artist and illustrator. Roc began his career as a video game concept artist, and then broke off into the world of freelance work in comics, film, animation, children's books, and more. His previous comics work includes Vescell (Image Comics), and he is best known as the original artist and co-creator on the critically-acclaimed fantasy series Rat Queens. Roc is hard at work at his own creator-owned project, currently planned for release later this year.
